I watched National Geography which dealt with this case. It turns out the wild bore was not 12 feet or one thousand to two thousand pounds like they claimed. It was 10 feet and between eight hundred to nine hundred pounds. It was still pretty big. It got so big because it ate the fish and the fish meal, which was full of protein, that was near a fish farm. It turned out to be a hybrid of a domestic pig and a wild bore. How it became that way no one knows.
